Overview: This in-person internship prepares students for entry-level roles in Information Systems, such as systems analyst. Interns will assist SDPD Information Services Analysts with various IT tasks including system setup, equipment management, and analytical projects. Interns will also complete learning goals involving mentorship, project work, and city job applications.

Key Information:

• Location: San Diego Police Headquarters, 1401 Broadway, San Diego, CA 92101

• Modality: In-person

• Compensation: Unpaid (Volunteer)

• Estimated Time Commitment: Minimum 12 hours/week during the academic year (May 2025–April 2026), with options to work during breaks

Eligibility Requirements:

• Must be currently enrolled in an academic program

• Preferred: Enrolled in or completed an Information Systems-based program

• Must pass background check and polygraph examination
